Education Model:

International Baccalaureate (IB)

At IPS, our International Baccalaureate (IB) schools emphasize inquiry, collaborative learning, critical thinking, and student agency. These educational models seek to develop socially responsible contributors who recognize their shared humanity and guardianship of the planet and strive to create a more peaceful world. All IPS Center for Inquiry (CFI) schools also follow the International Baccalaureate organization model.

IB Primary Years Programming (PYP) Students will go through six units of study based on global themes that incorporate math, science, social studies, reading, writing, and the arts through transdisciplinary teaching, where students apply knowledge and skills from multiple disciplines to help shape the learning experience.

EMBRACING A WORLD OF INQUIRY AND LEARNING

Welcome to CFI School 70, a hub of innovative learning and global exploration where we foster a community of respectful lifelong learners who utilize inquiry, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Through our inquiry-based Primary Years Programme (PYP), we emphasize International Mindedness and the Learner Profiles, encouraging students to develop personal learning goals and explore teacher and student-posed questions around big ideas. Our commitment to excellence is manifested through a safe, joyful learning community that provides well-rounded education via extracurricular activities, sports, clubs, and strong parent and community partnerships, all while emphasizing intercultural understanding and respect in a world of innovation and inquiry.
